Caf's decision to call off Ghana's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying back-to-back games against Sierra Leone has generated quite some talk on social media.
While some fans lamented the missed opportunity to see the Black Stars in action, others focused on what could become of the six points that were up for grabs.
Sierra Leone's inability to meet a Fifa ultimatum, which demanded that the ousted Isha Johansen-led administration of the football association be reinstated by end of Tuesday, resulted in the cancellation.
Under a Fifa ban since Friday on grounds of "governmental interference", Sierra Leone had pleaded with Fifa to have the national team face Ghana in the games set for Thursday and Monday, while it undertakes "process to resolve the current impasse".
Fifa rejected the appeal and issued Tuesday’s deadline.
Below are some reactions from twitter on the development:
Ghana is not getting SIX free points because the two games against Sierra Leone in the current window have been cancelled.

Stop dreaming.
China has an agenda 2050, and they'll nick that. Iceland had a 10 year plan, Germany instituted a 10 year plan and all finally yielded. But here, they'll tell you the plans are in their heads, and be administering a national football Assoc like a table top business. No plan. https://t.co/vVmZAp8FfD

This canceled game between Ghana and Sierra Leone isn't only bad for Ghana who bought tickets for players for a no game. But my flighty to Kumasi flight has already been booked for tomorrow. Now game is canceled, how do I get compensation for that?

IF Sierra Leone are kicked out of the 2019 qualifiers, Group F becomes a three way affair. Like this:
