The fate of the 2019/2020 Ghana football season was decided on Tuesday, June 30 by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association as the season was declared null and void.

With no promotion and relegation, Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold were chosen as Ghana's representatives for next year's CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup.

Kotoko and Ashgold who represented the country in the 2019/20 Africa inter-club competitions were chosen following their triumphs in the Normalization Committee Special Competitions Tier 1 and Tier 2 in 2019 as the current season couldn't produce a champion.

This decision taken by the GFA has generated some sort of debate all over social media and the traditional media space as some football fans believe the association should have waited for the President to lift the ban on football before taking a decision of this magnitude.

On the African reps, there has been strong opposition to the candidates taken as many including King Faisal owner Alhaji Grunsah who believes that they are just going to add up to the numbers.

On this episode of GhanaWeb's Friday debate, we ask you if you think the GF erred by calling off the season or you support the decision taken by the country's football governing body.
