Former Ghana and Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has agreed to mutually terminate his contract with Russian Side UFA as of Monday, 4/4/2016, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
In an exclusive chat with GHANAsoccernet.com, the special aide of the former Arsenal star, Cliff Opoku, disclosed that the player and the club have both mutually agreed to terminate the contract.
"The club and Frimpomg decided it best for him to seek treatment outside Russia for a small injury which has kept him on the bench so far this season," he said.
"Frimpong who never settled in Russia is now looking to further his career and still harbours ambitions to play for the Ghanaian national team."
Aged 24 the highly rated defensive midfielder is now a free agent and hoping to fulfill his vast potential.
"Emmanuel would like to extend his sincere gratitude to UFA and the fans for his time with the club and wish them all the best in the future," he added.
Frimpong was called up into the Ghana Black Stars in 2013 and is yet to make a return after he failed to impress the head coach.
