Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has urged his teammates to build on their morale-boosting victory over Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians ended a run of back-to-back defeats by winning their first game of the season, beating the Hunters 2-0 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Second-half goals from Ransford Mensah and Hamza Issah eased the pressure on coach Aboubakar Ouattara and his players.
Ahead of their trip to Kumasi to face Nations FC, goalkeeper Asare, who also doubles as captain of the team, charged his teammates to make a draw their worst result in the upcoming matches.
"Put this in your mind, from today going, any game that we will play, our worst should be a draw," he said as the team celebrated their victory. "We have to concentrate and continue working hard."
Hearts of Oak ended last season trophyless and only avoided the drop after beating the same side on the final day of the 2023/24 season.
