Fusion Games, the game that seeks to bring disabled and able-bodied persons on the same sports platform to compete and share fun, has been postponed.
The Games, scheduled to take place on 2nd January, 2012, would now be held on March 31, 2012 at the same venue-Lizzy Sports Complex- East Legon.
According to the organizers, Emperor Gaza International Foundation (EGIF), the games were postponed to enable them integrate it into a broader concept known as Global Campaign for the Empowerment of the Disabled through Sports that would start from January.
The campaign would involve a tour of some African and European countries to raise awareness on the activities of the disabled, in order to properly into mainstream society.
According to Mr. Prince Charles Sackeyfio, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EGIF, when more awareness is raised, a greater number of persons from various countries would participate in the event to ensure that the objectives are achieved.
He has therefore assured the general public that, the games would certainly come on and in a grand way.
Fusion Games, an initiative of Emperor Gaza International Foundation (EGIF), is expected to bring able-bodied and disabled persons on the platform of sports in order to drive home the message that, when fused together, the two can achieve greater results in all human endeavours.
The theme for the games is “Together, we are able.”
