Future Ladies vrs Fabulous Ladies decider was fixed

*Women’s soccer league: Future Ladies vrs Fabulous Ladies decider was fixed*

On paper, the just ended Women’s football championship in Kumasi apparently ended successfully but underground investigations by *SportsInGhana.com*reveal that the deciding game between Fiapre Future Ladies and holders Fabulous Ladies was indeed a match of convenience which enabled Fabulous Ladies to successfully defend the trophy.

The source indicates that Madam Abiba Atta, who is a recognised member of the Women’s League Board and leader of Fabulous Ladies team, convinced the Fiapre lads to sell their crucial match for them to defend their title. Our investigations have it that Madam Abiba after beating them 7-0 to nil, gave Future Ladies GH?100 (one hundred Ghana Cedis) in addition to another revelation that all the referees in the tournament were hosted in her house.

If the GFA wants a proof, then we encourage them to contact * SportsInGhana.com* for all the evidence because we even spoke to a player of runners-up Soccer Intellectuals who stated that everybody knew what went on because all four team stayed in the same accommodation abode.

How can we develop the women’s game in this country if we are engaging in these corrupt acts? There is no denying that the GFA have to take action against the two parties who fixed the game and declare Soccer Intellectuals champions to serve as a deterrent to other teams not only in the women’s game but the men as well.

Also, the GFA must probe what the GH?72,000 Cedis budget approved for the event was actually used for. This is because our investigations also revealed that, the clubs were accommodated in GH?10 (ten Ghana Cedis) per night hostel instead of the hotel they were supposed to reside in.

The feeding was also not the best, it was like feeding prisoners. The whole amount for the event was embezzled by the so-called authorities in charge of organizing the event. There is a need for a probe and the culprits heavily punished if we want a future for women’s football in this country.
