The Ghana Beads Society (GBS) on Thursday presented good luck charm beads to the Black Star players and officials during their last training session before the play the local Dream team in the Farewell Match organized by Primeval Media Consult at the Accra Sports Stadium.
According to the Executive Secretary of the GBS, Kati Torda Dagadu, the society was founded in 1994 and they have decided to record, promote and preserve Ghana Culture through beads.
She said the FIFA World Cup has aroused the interest of the whole nation; the young, old, female and male.
She stressed that the special bracelets for the Black Stars were designed by Suntrade, made up of black Krobo glass and Ashante 24 carat gold plated bronze beads.
The Ghana flag displayed on one of the beads is to remind all of Ghana’s strength and talents.
The gold plated tag beards the initials GBS, which stand for Ghana Black Stars and Ghana Beads Society.
Kati Dagadu said gold is meant to be the African symbol of winners and she was very sure that the Black Stars will be winners of the FIFA World Cup.
She urged all Ghanaians everywhere in the world to support the Black Stars and wear beads to portray the African identity.
