GBSA holds a media interactive session

The Ghana Beach Soccer Association (GBSA) held a media interaction session with the headline sponsor of the beach soccer league CAL Bank at the Accra sports stadium on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, to discuss matters concerning the growth of the sport.

The interaction session was held basically to illuminate the various challenges the media has with the branding of the sport and to further hear the viewpoint and any suggestion that the media wants CAL Bank to consider going forward into the new league season.

The Director of Marketing at CAL Bank, Mrs. Antoannet Kuofie said, "our decision to support beach soccer is based on our corporate social responsibility initiative, we have vested interest in sports, culture, education, but our decision to support beach soccer as a lesser known sport is further boost it’s potential”.

The president of GBSA, Mr Yaw Ampofo Ankrah also emphasized on the need for support in other to further develop the sport, so he will be counting on the media help popularize the sport so that corporate Ghana will be attracted to come on board to sponsor their various activities that are very difficult to fund.

Mr Ankrah also elaborated the main objective of interaction of the session which was to encapsulate the media as part of the building and popularizing the sport.
