Ghana Football Association Executive Council elections candidate Evelyn Nsiah Asare is determined to champion a campaign to the Confederation of African Football ensure the continent’s football governing body implements a women’s version of the CAF Champions League.

The former Ghana Black Queens Team Manager and established club administrator believes if CAF institute the competition it will offer more avenue for women’s football to flourish in the West African country as well as the continent.

“If the Europeans are doing same why can’t we follow suit? We have to do it because it will offer more competitions for our women on the African continent. Once I go on to the Executive Council it will be top of my scale of preference and priority list,” she told Ghana Sports Online in an exclusive chat.

We must initiate and start the discussions at our level here so we push it through to CAF for implementation,” she added.

Nsiah Asare was the Spokesperson for the Local Organising Committee of the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations which was staged in Ghana.
