Ghana Football Association's Presidential candidate, Nana Yaw Amponsah has implored delegates to give him the nod to lead the Ghana Football Association as he intend to fight corruption in football circles and move the game beyond nepotism.

The Phar Rangers FC owner is one of the six candidates battling for the GFA Presidential seat since the exit of Kwesi Nyantakyi in June last year.

With less than fourteen days away from electing a new head for the Ghana FA, Nana Yaw Amponsah believes he is best person to fight corruption and make our football clean.

“I'm not going to spend money to launch a big manifesto when some 3rd division clubs don't even have balls and boots to play,” he told Asempa FM.

“I would rather support those clubs with that money. We should be modest and focused

“We need to decode the "football people" tag and leverage on our past and present players.

He continued, “You don't have to be my friend to benefit from my administration.

“We need to move Ghana football beyond corruption and nepotism.”

He also pledged to employ the youth by making them stewards at the various stadia.

“I intend to convert most of the unemployed youths who have become hooligans around our game into stewards,” he said.

The Ghana FA presidential elections has been slated for October 25.
