The Ghana Football Association has appointed experienced duo EK Afranie and Fred Osam Duodu as new members of the technical committee.
Afranie has coached the Black Stars twice in 1984 and 2002 and remains the only Ghanaian coach to have handled all junior national teams.
His decorated CV includes winning silver at the 2001 FIFA Under-20 World Championships in Argentina.
The former Asante Kotoko coach was in-charge of the Ghana’s women team who played at the FIFA Women’s World Cup finals in 1999 in the USA.
Afranie has coached Ghana Premier League clubs including Ebusua Dwarfs, New Edubiase United and Mighty Jets.
Duodu twice handled the Black Stars between 1978 and 1981 before supervising Ghana’s washed-out campaign at the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations.
He led Gambia to win their first ever football title in 2005 at the CAF Under-17 Championships on home soil.
Duodu won silver at the 1993 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Australia.
