The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has denied media reports that the senior national team, the Black Stars, rejected the training pitch offered them in Gabon for the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
The FA said it had noted with deep concern some reports in a section of the Ghanaian media to that effect. However, it clarified, such reports were false and should be disregard.
The FA in a tweet on Sunday January 15 said they were yet to assess the training pitch assigned to the Black Stars.
“Ghana has not rejected #can2017 training pitch. Team arrived last night & yet to observe the pitch, contrary to a media report. #AFCON2017,” the tweet said.
