Ghana’s Sports Minister, Dr. Mustapha Ahmed has lauded the Ghana Football Association for being transparent in their activities amidst the current FIFA corruption scandal.

At the Ordinary Congress of the Ghana FA at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence, the Honourable Minister who paid a courtesy call noted that despite all the accusations and the recent corruption charges leveled against the mother body FIFA, the Ghana FA has maintained a standard of transparency.

“Let me take this opportunity to commend the Ghana Football Association for maintaining a standard of transparency and call for more even when FIFA has been bedeviled with many corruption charges,” Dr. Mustapha Ahmed said.

“I will however urge you [GFA] to do more to make your activities more transparent to clear doubts in the minds of people,” he added.

The Ghana FA’s accounts were audited and approved by the Auditor General yesterday at Congress clearing all doubt about the activities of the federation.
