The President and bank roller of King Faisal Babes, Alhaji Karim Grusah says the Ghana FA should not be in a rush to restart the league after the Coronavirus pandemic.
The current season has been suspended due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the country following a directive from government on the suspension of all social gathering including sporting activities.
The Ghana Premier League was halted in March following those directives from government and is uncertain when football will return after the President extended the ban on social gatherings and sporting activities in his last address to the nation on Sunday 26 March, 2020.
With the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season set to end in July, Alhaji Grusah has urged the FA not to force players and clubs into completing the season when the green light is given for football to return.
“We should not force our players to come from the break and resume the league. Even in Spain players are asking for more time to prepare before they continue with the league”, he told Odi Asempa Kwame Oware on Wamputu Sports on Happy 98.9FM.
“I am not saying this because my team is lying on the bottom of the table. We (King Faisal) can bounce back and stay in the league. The Executive Council and president must be very careful. They should not be in a hurry to restart the league”, he added.
