Ghana FA boss Kwasi Nyantakyi says his administration is suffering from an adage perception of corruption in football.
There are widespread believes that officials of the association are using their position to line their pockets.
Critics have used transactions such as the sponsorship of the Ghana Premier League as the basis for their entrenched stand of corruption in the Ghana FA.
But Nyantakyi in an extensive interview with Kumasi-based Angel FM says this ‘false’ perception is fuelled by the experiences of the past.
“People always say that we are stealing monies from the Ghana FA,” he said.
“This is not possible because we are being audited by the same audit service that handles the Presidency.
“We go to Congress every year where our financial status is made known and so far no one has raised the issue of corruption.
“I believe this perception is due to experiences in the past. But things have changed.
“Maybe it is possible for someone to steal money but you will be found out eventually.”
