GFA summons WRFA to an emergency meeting

... over referee Kyei's death

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has invited the Executive Committee of the Western Region Football Association (WRFA) to an emergency meeting in Accra tomorrow over the death of young referee Andoh Kyei.

The meeting will be held at the GFA’s headquarters at 10am to examine the WRFA preliminary report into the circumstances leading to the referee’s death.

WRFA will brief the GFA on the progress on their internal investigation into the matter while the progress report on police investigations into referee Kyei’s death will be taken into account.

The meeting will also examine measures to be taken to stem the violence in lower leagues across in the country particularly the Western Region.

Meanwhile, the WRFA will reveal plans for the Ghanaian football fraternity to participate and contribute to a befitting burial for the young referee.

There will be a press briefing at the GFA’s headquarters immediately after the meeting. The media is invited to report on this at 11am at the GFA’s headquarters.
