Ghana Football Association President, Kwesi Nyantakyi has revealed plans by the FA aimed at developing quality pitches across the nation.
The newly re-elected FA boss disclosed this to the people of Wa where he was enskined as a developmental chief by the Paramount Chief of Wa this weekend.
The excited FA President said the reason he wants to help develop pitches across the country is because of the poor state of our football infrastructure on the local scene.
Describing his plans to Sportcrusader.com, the FA boss said, “We will develop quality training pitches across all the ten regions of the nation. We will start the process in Accra before moving down to Kumasi to repeat the gesture.
“Within the four year period that I will be leading the FA again, I want to make sure that each region gets a quality training pitch to boast of.
“The government has the responsibility to develop training pitches like providing any other social amenities in the country. They should help us get these pitches but it has not been happening in the past years.
“I am calling on the government of the day without any blame to please team with us to develop these pitches across the nation”
Kwesi Nyantakyi was made a developmental chief for a traditional area in the upper west region, dubbed as Jen-Jen Naa Sung Maale for his unique leadership in the administration of Ghana Football. The honor was confirmed by Wa Naa Fuseini Pelpuo V at the Wa Naa palace in Nayiri.
