Head Coach of Asante Kotoko Steven Polack has stated after his side’s shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Dreams FC that he won’t lose any sleep if he is unable to win the ongoing G8 competition.

A well taken solitary goal by Richard Addai on the stroke of half time was enough to snatch all three points and upset the Fabulous club in Kumasi on Wednesday.

The Porcupine Warriors missed a golden opportunity to get a point from the game in 65th minute when Frederick Boateng failed to convert a penalty awarded to them.

Speaking to reporters after the game Polack congratulated Dreams and admitted they were the better team overall on the balanace of play. He lamented his side’s lack of quality in possession and believes that is where the game was lost.

He stressed that the tournament is a learning curve for his players and for him to assess them with an eye on the upcoming season.

“Its a pre season where you look at players, it’s a tournament I will like to win but I’m not necessarily going to lose any sleep over it if I don’t win”

Kotoko will come up against Premier League Champions Aduana in a must win game on Sunday in the last round of group matches.
