Embattled GHALCA boss Alhaji Ali Raji is under mounting pressure to step down after a reported derogatory comment against Aduana Stars sparked fury among Brong Ahafo clubs.

It has been widely claimed the former Eleven Wise director tagged Aduana Stars a 'village' club during the recent concluded FirsTrust G6 tournament.

The purported comments has sparked a wave of storm in the West African country with clubs in the Brong Ahafo region threatening to breakaway from GHALCA- the umbrella body of the clubs in Ghana.

Clubs in the region feel they have been disrespected by the demeaning comment from the GHALCA leader and have vowed to withdraw their membership.

Berekum Chelsea have initiated steps to pull out of the association with widespread reports suggesting others may follow suit.

While the under-fire GHALCA boss is yet to confirm or deny the claims, pressure is beginning to mount for him to resign to save the association.

The football administrator had been hugely criticized for his perceived poor handling of GHALCA since he assumed office.

The successful FirsTrust G6 tournament opened a new wave of optimism but it appears his reported recent comment has clouded his administration's positives.

Kotoko recorded a narrow 1-0 win over the Fire Club to clinch the title in Sekondi on Sunday.
