The Ghana League Clubs Association has officially lifted the sanctions imposed on Asante Kotoko for boycotting a medal presentation for a Cup match last month.
The club were fine 10,000 Ghana cedis and slapped with a one-year ban from all GHALCA related activities for snubbing the medals of the President’s Cup on 1 July against league champions Berekum Chelsea.
A GHALCA statement issued on Thursday confirmed both parties have settled the impasse amicable after the club showed remorse for their action.
Kotoko have rendered an unqualified apology to the country’s Vice-President, the football association, sponsors of the competition and general public.
The ruling means the club will play in the proposed prestigious pre-season top six competition due to kick start on 28 August.
