GHALCA sends goodwill message to clubs

Accra, March 3, GNA- The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) on Thursday sent a goodwill message to Accra Hearts of Oak, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and King Faisal towards their participation in the continental club competitions this weekend.

A statement signed by Kudjoe Fianoo, Administrative Manager of GHALCA encouraged the three teams to bring honour to the country. He said: " You have the capacity to excel, so all hopes are on you not just win, but win convincingly".

Mr Fianoo was optimistic that the 'Never Say Die', 'Kum Apem, Apem Beba' and 'Insha Allah' spirits would spur them on to victory. King Faisal will begin the weekend with a first leg match against Ndiambour Club of Senegal in the Confederations Cup competitions at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Saturday while Kotoko play host to Royal Armed Forces (FAR) of Morocco at the same venue on Sunday in the first leg, second round of the CAF Champions League.

Accra Hearts of Oak would trek as guests of Dolphins Football club of Nigeria also in the first leg, second round of the CAF Champions League.
