GHALCA to brief members on Friday

Accra, Feb 22, GNA - The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) will on Friday, February 25, meet accredited representatives of Premier League Clubs to brief them on the outcome of the Nana Brew Butler Mediation Committee.

The meeting is scheduled for the secretariat of the Association at 4:00 pm at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra. GHALCA last Friday held a meeting with the Committee together with officials of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, following an impasse that generated from the withdrawal of Kotoko from the on-going Coca- Cola Top Four Tournament.

The impasse subsequently led to a resolution by 14 Premier League Clubs to boycott all forms of friendly and competitive matches against Kotoko.

In a related development, GHALCA will on March 1, meet Chairmen, Chief executive Officers or accredited representatives of both Premier and Division One League clubs at its secretariat. The meeting will discuss a Regional tour to be undertaken by the Association and a course for coaches, football administrators and masseurs and physiotherapists.
