Vice Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Isaac Koomson, has called on the various supporters unions in the country to troop to the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 7 to support Accra Hearts of Oak in the 2nd leg of the Caf Confederations Cup encounter against Esperance.
Accra Hearts of Oak has a herculean task as they seek to overturn a 4-0 defeat suffered at the hands of their opponents in Tunisia a fortnight ago but Koomson believes that the supporters unions should be at the stadium to propel the Phobians to victory.
Speaking to Sportscrusader.com, Isaac Koomson said, “Yes I believe the supporters unions should not only concentrate on the national teams. Hearts is representing Ghana in Africa and I think they deserve support especially when there is no national assignment on that day”.
“We have various supporters unions in the country who would follow the national teams wherever they go to support them in their games. I will humbly appeal to them to troop to the stadium on Sunday to support Hearts to victory”, he added.
