Defending champions FC Samartex and Nations FC played out a 1-1 draw at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday, December 29 2024.

The Timber Giants were denied a return to the winning track as their first-half goal was cancelled just before the break.

Solomon Adjei shot the home side into the lead on 30 minutes but that lead lasted 13 minutes as Emmanuel Annor leveled for Nations.

Both teams pushed for the winner after recess but they had to settle for a point each at full time.

The draw moves Kassim Mingle’s side to 4th on the league standings while Samartex, still searching for their first win in five matches sit in 10th position with 18 points.

The Timber Giants travel to Dormaa to face Aduana to face Aduana Stars while Nations return to Abrankese to host top-flight debutants, Basake Holy Stars.
