GVA invites 22 players to camp.

The Ghana Volleyball Association (GVA) has invited 22 players to form the nucleus of the national men volley team, the Black Spikers.

The team is to prepare for the Africa Zone Three Unification Tournament in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, from November 1 through to the seventh, this year.

In a release issued in Accra and signed by Mr. Erasmus Adorkor, General Secretary of GVA, it said the players would start training at the Lebanon House from September 23 till they leave for the tournament. The statement said Coach Akomisnaba Agama and Justice Adjasoo would handle the team.

The players invited to camp are, Clement Gbekley, Wise Adzokpa, Seidu Baba, Enoch Asamoah, Fredrieck Dzekrey (Police Service), Shamshu Awudu, Casmil Agbenyegah, Solomon Acquaye (Kwamerk Club). Others are, Eric Ofori and Henry Abakisi (Prisons Service) and Ofei Awuku, Nathaniel Mills (Fire Service). Rahman Danladi and George Nii-Mensah come from VALCO and Fred Adjei, Seshie (NAVY), Evans Lomotey-Tagoe and Adams (Air force), Ernest Bagson (University of Cape Coast), Alabadek Harrison (University College of Education) Calistus Sullo (upper West) and Osman Abdellah (Upper East).
