Ghana's IBO Lightweight champion Emmanuel 'Game Boy' Tagoe says he is ready to defend Ghana's World title when he faces Fernando David Saucedo at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday January 27, 2018

Game Boy held his final media workout & sparring session at the Will Power Gym located at Mantse Agbonaa on the Accra High street on Friday ahead of his fight against the Argentine.

The World title holder will be defending his belt for the first time on January 27 after injury ruled him out of action for a year.

Managed by Asamoah Gyan's Baby Jet Promotions, Game Boy went through hit mitts in turns, shadow boxing and engaged in other fitness exercises during the media workout.

After the rigorous training, the World title holder sparred with WBC International Silver Welterweight champion, Frederick Lawson in a four round battle which was witnessed by hundreds of boxing fanatics within the area.

In an interview with the media after the entire session Game Boy said “Am not under pressure to fight, I thank my management [Baby Jet Promotions] for putting this fight together, I will never disappoint them."

“I’m happy I will be fighting for the first time in a year. I was away from the ring because injury, but now i’m back. He said.

“I’m ready for Saucedo, I have prepared very well for this fight, I will be going all out on the day to defend the flag of Ghana.

“I will give my final prediction at the weigh-in. I will punish Saucedo, no matter what he will do he will go down, I'm fired up for action."

Emmanuel Tagoe defeated Mzonke Fana of South Africa to win the title at Ghana's first Boxing Arena in 2016.
