Gawu makes Ghana return

Eric Gawu is one of the returnees, but he has opted for a second tier club.

Dreams FC, currently on top of Zone 3 of GN Bank Division One League, will have the former Hearts of Oak forward in their ranks.

Gawu is looking to revive his career with his move after his release from Medeama in 2013. "Dreams FC is a young, ambitious and a very good club and as far as I am concerned, this is the rightful place to get my career back on track,” Gawu said.

Gawu was a hit with former Ghana Premier League side King Faisal, especially between 2004 and 2006, before a big money move to Hearts of Oak that same year.

At Hearts, 'Gatete' did not meet expectations and went abroad.

"My main aim is to help lift this club up and also come good again. I have been home for some time since returning from Israel and I thought it wise to join the team so us to help them and also relaunch my career."

Speaking to Football Made In Ghana, he insisted the move to a lower club is what his stuttered career needs at present.
