Ghana Football Association vice president George Afriyie is impressed with the performance of Black Stars coach Avram Grant in his one year stay in charge of the senior National team.
The Israeli trainer (Grant) has been able to record 10 wins, 3 losses and 4 stalemates in 17 matches since his appointment in November 2014.
The former Chelsea boss aided the Black Stars to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Equatorial Guinea and also qualified the team to the Group stages of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after defeating Comoros.
George Afriyie, who doubles as the management committee chairman of the Black Stars, is stirred by the performance of the former West Ham manager.
“How do you measure a coach? For me, for now, he is doing well. Two games in the Afcon qualifiers, two games in the World Cup qualifiers against Comoros, he has won all," he told Starr FM.
“He took the team to the Afcon finals. But there are some reservations as coach but trust me, so far so good.”
Grant has been tasked by the Ghana Football Association to qualify the team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and also win the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
