German trainer to take up technical role at Kotoko

An unnamed German coach has arrived to take up a technical role at Asante Kotoko, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The expatriate coach arrived in Ghana on Thursday night and is now awaiting for fly into Kumasi to finalize talks over his new role.

GHANAsoccernet.com understands that the unnamed coach will be handed a role as the technical director as the club looks to strengthen in all department way in time for next season.

The German trainer will also have discussions with coach David Duncan to fashion out a new technical direction for the club once his appointment is confirmed.

Kotoko’s board and management are desperate to put measures in place to ensure the side wrestles back its Premier League title it lost to regional rivals AshantiGold in the just ended campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors had won the Ghanaian top flight for the past three season but were poor in the just ended campaign.

Their woeful start led to the dismissal of coach Mas-Ud Dramani who was later replaced by former Hearts of Oak coach David Duncan.

Kotoko however finished the season strongly in 6th position.
