Germany want Ghana friendlies

The German Football Association (DFB) has asked its Ghanaian counterpart for two back-to-back friendlies later this year.

The German body, also known as Deutscher Fußball-Bund, reportedly asked a third party in the last three days to contact Ghana for the games to take place in Munich (Germany) and Amsterdam (the Netherlands).

Ghana play Nigeria on October 11 in the United Kingdom and reports say the Germans want the games on the next Fifa date on November 11.

German sources told SuperSport.com that coach Joachim Low wants a ``non-European wildcard of good standing´´ to play as further preparation for next year´s European Championships.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian authorities are speculating on several other offers. In the past two months, there have been strong hints that Uruguay would like to play the Black Stars in Europe.

Other offers have also come from the Far East, but the FA feels Ghana has played Asian countries too many times lately.

Germany´s offer is the latest after Belgium tabled an offer two weeks ago, SuperSport.com has learnt. The Ghana FA would meet by Wednesday and announce their decision by the end of the month, at the latest.
