Youth and Sports Minister, Isaac Kwame Asiamah, has tasked senior members of the national female soccer side, Black Queens to do the country honours by lifting the ultimate when Ghana host Africa from November 17 – December 1.

At the unveiling of the tournament’s mascot (Agrohemaa) on Friday evening, the Minister challenged the ladies to strive for the ultimate to make Ghana and themselves proud.

“…Get us the gold. We are ready for Africa, we are not just hosting, we are winning as well. The team has given me the assurance that all is well, they are up there technically to make us proud.”

Queens captain, Leticia Zikpi promised to write their names in gold by winning the 11th edition of the tournament.

Chairperson of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Freda Prempeh, announced that all is set by way of preparation.

Female musician trio of Akosua Adjepong, Grace Ashie and Wiyala have put together a beautiful theme song.

Eight countries from the continent will battle for honours in the competition which would be played at the Accra, Kumasi and Cape Coast stadia.
