The deputy youth and sports minister, Hon. Pius Enam Hadziede in an interviewe with Happy FM said that, Ghana Boxing Association bloated their budget given to them when they wanted funds to go to the ongoing African Boxing championship in Congo but the president for Ghana Boxing Federation, Mr. George Lamptey denied that statement saying they did not bloated any budget because anytime they prepares a budget, it goes through the sports authority director before it gets to the ministry.
“I’m speaking on authority, nobody has bloated any budget. The budget is cleared by the general secretary in consultation with the treasurer so nobody will bloat it because they have given us manual for all those things so if we write anything it goes through the National sports authority director,” he said.
“let BNI, national security and the security apparatus, CID do their investigation into the Ghana Boxing Federation’s account, i want to start on a clean sheet and that will save my image.”
