Ghana Handed Kwarasey Injury Boost Against Sudan

Ghana first choice goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey has been cleared fit to face Sudan in Saturday’s all-important Nations Cup qualifier at the Al Hilal Stadium, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Stromsgodset gloves man fell ill during the team’s camping in Nairobi early this week and missed their two last work-out sessions at the Kasarani Stadium.

The Norway-born was visiting another African country for the first time since making his debut for Ghana last month.

But the 24-year-old completed Friday afternoon’s full training session in Omdurman.

“I attend full training session and now fit to play tomorrow,” Kwarasey told GHANAsoccernet.com

Head coach Goran Stevanovic will pick the lanky net minder as a starter against the Nile Crocodiles who drew goalless with the Black Stars in the corresponding fixture last October.

Kwarasey received rave reviews from Ghanaians for his gallantry impressive outing against Swaziland and Brazil last month.

Ghana need a draw to pick the automatic slot in Group I for the 2012 finals to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
