The second transfer window of the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League season is set to open on Monday, the football association has confirmed.

The period will afford clubs the opportunity to register new players to aid their quests for glory in the 16-team competition.

“The Premier League Board has set Monday May 2, 2016 as the date for the opening of the second registration period for the ongoing 2015/15 Ghana Premier League,” a GFA statement read.

“The second transfer window would be opened for a one-month period as it would be closed on Wednesday June 1, 2016.

“All Premier League clubs are to take note for compliance.”

The topflight is set to enter week 10 this weekend with the top liner being a clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

Wa All Stars currently sit atop the league table with 20 points, two more than second-placed Hearts.
