Ghana Premier League players are set lose contract due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
The disease has led to the suspension of the 2019/20 league season until further notice by the Ghana Football Association following the directives given by the President of the Republic.
Most clubs have break camp for some weeks as part of precautionary measures to prevent the rapid spread of Covid-19.
According to reports gathered by Footballghana.com, some Ghanaian players in the local league are on the verge of losing their contracts as clubs are finding it difficult to pay them.
The clubs say Sponsors are not giving them money because there's no football activity in the country, hence the need to cut players' salaries or terminate their contracts.
Elsewhere, Leagues and competitions across the world have been forced to postpone games as governments battle to slow the spread.
The deadly virus has infected more than 400,000 persons around the world, killing nearly 20,000 and bringing the whole world to a near standstill.
