The 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League season which was set to commence this weekend has been postponed indefinitely, Ghanaweb can confirm.
The Professional League Board on Monday, 26th February launched the league, paving way for the start 2017/2018 season.
However, a statement written by the Ghana Football Association and copied to Ghanaweb.com indicates that matchday one of the league has been postponed.
“Please be informed that matchday one of the 2017/2018 has been postponed to a new date to be announced later”, the statement read.
The release failed to stipulate reasons for the rescheduling of the league but reports are that it might be as a result of an injunction placed on it by Accra Great Olympics.
The General Manager of Olympics, Oluboi Commodore on Tuesday, February 27, confirmed that his outfit have filed an appeal against the high court decision last week to throw their case away and placed another injunction on the league.
