Ghana at it's confident best

Ghana is confident of beating South Africa in their crucial joint Cup of Nation/World Cup qualifier at the FNB Stadium tomorrow.

Bafana Bafana have not lost a World Cup qualifier at home for nearly 15 years. The Ghana management made it clear that Bafana Bafana stand between them and their first World Cup appearance. The Black Stars last played here in 1996 when their star studded team lost 3-0 to Bafana in Cup of Nations qualifier. Stephen Appiah, the Ghanaian captain, says there is no comparison between the current team and their predecessors.

Meanwhile, Aaron Mokoena, the Bafana captain, says tomorrow's game is a "must win". Mokoena downplayed the fact that he will earn his 50th cap for the national team, he says the three points at stake are more important than personal milestones. The Black Stars won the first round encounter 3-0 in Kumasi. However, Mokoena says they are ready to turn the tables this time.
