Ghana await draw as holders Egypt miss out

The roll call for the 2015 Africa Youth Championship is now set after Ghana and six other sides booked their places.

The Black Satellites, silver medalist in the last Championship produced a fine away performance to confirm their place in the concluding final round matches over the weekend.

Sellas Tetteh's side will be joined by Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Zambia, Mali, South Africa, Congo and hosts, Senegal for the official draw of the eight-nation competition next year.

Holders, Egypt failed to qualify after they were edged by Congo courtesy the away goal rule in their fixture.

The Black Satellites powered to 4-1 win over Gabon on Saturday in Libreville after a goalless first leg match to reach their fourth successive appearance at the Championship.

The Championship begins from 8-22 March 2015.

Ghana are three-time African champions and will be aiming for a fourth title.
