Ghana calm ahead of 2012 CAN draw

Goran Stevanovic says Ghana are waiting with bated breath to discover their opponents for the 2012 African Nations Cup after the group draw after qualifying for next year's finals in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

The Black Stars beat Sudan 2-0 on Saturday to earn their place in the competition ahead of the group draw on October 28 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

Stevanovic, answering questions in a post-game interview said, his Black Stars side who finished the qualifying campaign top from Group I with 16 points, after recording five wins and a draw in six games will take things one after the other.

"Well, we always go step by step, we are waiting for the draw to see our opponents in our group as a first step," Stevanovic said.

The Black Stars scored a total of 13 and conceded just a goal in the qualifying campaign.

Ghana, four-time champions, join co-hosts Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Zambia, Mali, Guinea, Angola, Tunisia, Niger and Libya to book their places in the finals with the remaining two slots to be filled later after Sunday's round of matches.
