Former Black Stars player and Asante Kotoko coach, Frimpong Manso has charged the Black Stars to avenge against Cameroon after drawing with Benin on Tuesday in the on going AFCON tournament in Egypt.

Cameroon defeated Guinea-Bissau by 2-0 in their first game whilst Ghana drew 2-2 with Benin. The Black Stars will also be seeking for their first win in the competition whilst the Indomitable Lions Of Cameroon will be seeking for their second win in the competition to guarantee them a ticket to the round of 16.

Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports, Coach Frimpong implored the Technical team to work on the Team’s defense if they want to claim victory against Cameroon.

“We have a chance against Cameroon but it will depend on how we defend. Because our main problem right now is the back. We can win the game if we do our things right on Saturday. We committed errors in our first game so the defenders must avoid that”- Frimpong stated.

He however, advised the technical team to give Jonathan Mensah a starting role in Saturday’s game in place of John Boye who was shown a red card .

“We should maintain Kassim Nuhu and bring on Jonathan Mensah in place of John Boye. In terms of experience, they are above Joseph Aidoo and this is helpful than playing two new players at the back”.

“We could have stopped that first goal we conceded but because the defenders have not been playing together for long and they don’t understand each other, they made some mistakes and we conceded”.

The Black Stars will play Saturday’s match without two key players-Captain André Ayew and winger Thomas Agyepong due to injuries in the Tuesday’s match against Benin.
