Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will ignore any attempts to convince him to include Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng in his team for 2019 AFCON.
Appiah is expected to name his provisional squad on May 20 and there has been pressure from the GFA Normalization Committee hierarchy to recall the duo.
Chairman of the Ghana FA, Dr. Kofi Amoah revealed that he has asked Black Stars coach to consider calling Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari for the tournament in Egypt.
But information from the camp of Kwesi Appiah indicate that the coach refuses to back down, increasing tension and a possibility of a standoff with the governing body.
The two players were slapped with indefinite suspensions for various acts of indiscipline during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Boateng was sacked from the camp for verbally assaulting coach Kwesi Appiah while Muntari was dismissed from the team for physically attacking Ghana FA official Moses Armah.
