Ghana coach Bashir Hayford insists he is not concerned by the lack of international friendly matches ahead of the 2018 Africa Women’s Nations Cup.
The Black Queens have been drawn in a tough group where they will face Algeria, Mali, and Cameroon.
Concerns are however rife that the team’s preparations are only locally based with the lack of international friendly matches to give the team the needed exposure.
But coach Bashir Hayford says he is not bothered by this.
“When you’re preparing for an international exam, you can as well prepare well at you home and be successful,” he told FootballmadeinGhana.com.
“We are focused on preparing well and I’m sure we will deliver.”
Ghana will kickstart its campaign at the 2018 AWCON with a group opener against Algeria on November 17.
They will subsequently take on Mali and then Cameroon as the look to host and win the tournament for the first time.
