Ghana coaches clash in Sudan League

Two Ghana Football Coaches will make history on the continent especially in Sudan where they lead their respective football teams for a crucial league game on Thursday May 7, 2015.

Former Black Stars Coach James Kwesi Appiah and Master Tactician Moses Cofie, formerly of Great Oly, Hearts of Oak and Liberty Professional fame will be the personalities to watch on Thursday when Al Nisoor face Khartoun Watari who are handled by the former Black Stars and Asante Kotoko skipper.

What makes the game interesting is that the twoi Sudan clubs are coached by Ghanaians who exceled in their playing days.

Moses Cofies team Al Nisoor are placed sixth on the league ladder, with Watari at the fouth position and a win for either side will boast their chances of winning the league which Hilan Onduman are the leaders.
At second spot of the Sudan League is Al Merriekh and Shendi at the third spot, with Watari at the fourth position.
In an exclusive interview with Coach Moses Cofie over the weekend, he disclosed that the game will be a tough one as both clubs are very good tactically, and he wants to win to prove that he is one of the best technical brains on the continent of Africa.

According to Coach Cofie, he is very popular in foreign countries than his own nation and this game will make him popular in Ghana.

“We have all come here to work. He came because he was Black Stars ex-coach and I came due to my achievements with clubs on the continent and other places. We will play and the better side will win. I pray that my boys do as I have told them and we shall carry the day” he said confidently.

Moses Cofie played as a midfielder and Appiah was a defender, but that does not mean that they will not attack.

Coach Cofie said he can defend and attack as well. He was very sure his players have what it takes to beat their opponents, because they are a much disciplined side and obey tactical instructions.
