Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku expressed his excitement after Fenerbahce began their Turkish Super Lig campaign with a victory.
The Turkish giants bounced back from a midweek defeat to Lille, securing a 1-0 win over Adana Demirspor to claim all three points in their season opener.
Former Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko scored the decisive goal in the first half, thanks to a clever pass from summer signing Allan Saint-Maximin.
"Three points. We keep going. Thank you for all supporters. Fenerbahce," Djiku wrote on X after the game.
Djiku played the entire match, having made a brief appearance in the UEFA Champions League qualifier against Lille last Tuesday.
The defender, who turned 30 last week, has been a key player for Fenerbahce since joining from Racing Club Strasbourg last summer.
Fenerbahce will host Lille on Wednesday for the second leg of their UCL qualifiers, aiming for a spot in the group stage of the competition.
