Ghana defender Mensah makes injury return

Orebro SK’s Ghanaian defender Samuel Laryea Mensah has fully recovered from his knee injury which kept him on the sidelines for three months, Goal Ghana can reveal.

The 24-year-old who has been one of the best full backs in the Swedish league torn the cartilage and meniscus in his left knee in the early part of the season when his side played against Gotenborg.

“I have recovered from the knee injury and even played 80 minutes for the Under-21 side against AIK,” Mensah told Goal Ghana.

“It was a home game for us and we won 10-1 against AIK. Kwame Karikari also featured for them.”

The versatile player who can play every where across the backline and in the midfield is likely to get some minutes of action when the Swedish league begins after the international break.

Mensah won Ostersunds’ player of the season last year at the Superattan.
