Young Ghana midfielders, Alfred Duncan and Godfred Donsah, could soon form a combo for Serie A side, Bologna.

Bologna are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season following the exit of Italian duo Rolando Bianchi and Robert Acquafresca.

The Rossoblu are already close to landing former Inter Milan protege Alfred Duncan on an initial loan from Sampdoria which could yield a $6m transfer fee if he impresses by the end of the loan spell.

Sampdoria's decision to let go the 2013 under-20 World Cup participant comes with a bit of a surprise as he had impressively copped 26 games in his first stint at the club only last season. Duncan in similar manner initially joined Sampdoria on loan last summer before signing a permanent deal this January.

Godfred Donsah is fresh from participating at this year's Fifa Under-20 World Cup with Ghana and will look for a move away from relegated Cagliari.

The defensive midfielder before the end of the past season, received a lot of media attention due to his impressive run with his club and agent claiming interests from top European clubs.

Reports have emerged in the Italian media that the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara side who are close to landing his compatriot Duncan, are also seeking to land an outright purchase of his rights from Cagliari.
