Ghana excels at Minigolf World Cup as Talal Fattal gets appointment

Team Minigolf Ghana on their maiden World Cup appearance managed to win the admiration of fans and attention of the World Minigolf participants in Croatia.

After two days of competitive adventure masters Minigolf and five rounds over 18 holes, Germany emerged as the new world champions, while Finland and Italy took the top spot in individual scores.

At a well-attended award closing ceremony, held at Zaton Resort in Nin, Team Ghana was adjudged best new Minigolf team with official ranking now as 11th in the World.

Ghana’s Solomon Addai was awarded best male Minigolf score in Team Ghana, while Hala Fattal got best score in Ghana women Team.

The world Minigolf Federation has also inducted President of Ghana Minigolf and Secretary General of Africa Minigolf Mr. Talal Fattal into the World Minigolf Council – Media and Marketing events worldwide.

Emmanuel Osei of Team Ghana was nominated for the position of Africa Minigolf Player Status Committee to be confirmed next week at the annual delegates conference taking place in Zaton Resort Nin.

Team Ghana made a lasting impression at the World Cup championships in Croatia with their colourful branded apparel, Ghana jama chants and high spirit energy displayed on and off the Minigolf course throughout the tournament.

Talal Fattal noted the technical and high level of Minigolf displayed in Croatia and has recognized the challenge and the need to improve upon Team Ghana technical Minigolf performance in future world international competitions.

Team Ghana will crown their trip by competing as guests of honor at the Croatia Minigolf Open and are expected to return to Accra this Saturday after a week of eye opening golf competition; as the first African country ever to compete in the world Minigolf Championship.
