Ghana, without playing a match in the last month, stay at the same position, 36th on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World rankings.
Fifa on Wednesday published the August edition of the monthly world ranking.
Despite the cancellation of the Black Stars' friendly against Nigeria because of the London riots, Ghana gained 30 more points to secure a total of 726 points.
The Black Stars are still third-best on the African table behind Egypt, who are in second while Ivory Coast tops the rankings.
There has been a change in the leadership of the world ranking, with the Netherlands ending Spain’s reign of more than a year at the summit to claim top spot for the first time ever.
According to Fifa, seventy-six 'A' matches have been held in the past few weeks, 60 of which were friendlies. Fifteen games were Asian Zone qualifiers for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, and one was a UEFA EURO 2012 preliminary.
