Ghana matches for South Africa giants

Plans are afoot to have south africa giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs play two top Ghana teams in what is likely to become an annual event.This was revealed by Joseph Appiah chairman of the league clubs association in the west african country.

Appiah is currentry in south africa being hosted by the premier soccer league[PSL] marketing department and will return to Ghana on friday.

There are plans for the two south african teams to play Asante kotoko and king faisal, both kumasi based clubs in june.The matches will take place in Accra,and then the Ghana clubs will visit south africa the following season and we are hoping to make this an annual event,"he said.

"lt will be an exciting affair,as the teams involved are really loved by fans in both countries.l am sure that, it will be a big success, and it will certainly cement ties between the two countries.Appiah has been in the country for a week and has met various stakeholders of the game in the country.He feels that his visit has been a success, and that he has learnt alot here."l would like the game in Ghana to be modeled on the way that things are done in south africa.l have been very impressed by the way things are done in south africa, and the game in our country can learn alot from south africa,"he said."l watched the game between Orlando Pirates and Classic and l was really impressed by all aspects of the way things are done here.The match itself was good, but l was also impressed by with a security as well as the stadium the match was played in".

" At the moment , l would say that Ghana is semi-professional compared to south africa.l am leaving on friday ,but this is a learning experience, and we will definitely be back until we feel that we have learnt enouth."
