Former Ebusua Dwarfs coach, J.E.A Sarpong has told Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah to put aside the differences between himself and Barcelona forward K.P Boateng and hand the forward a call up into the national.
Boateng has been suspended from the national team following the debacle of Brazil 2014, where the striker and midfielder Sulley Muntari were accused of gross misconduct in camp.
Five years on, coach J.E.A Sarpong says Kwesi Appiah should swallow his pride and invite the forward. This comes after the Black Stars coach stated in an interview he will only invite Kevin Prince Boateng if he apologizes for his misconduct in Brazil.
According to the veteran tactician Ghana needs Kevin than Kevin needs Ghana.
"If the coach is willing to work with him, he should call him but it shouldn't be like an apology first before he hands him a call up into the national team", Coach Sarpong told Agyenkwa FM in Kumasi.
"I even doubt if Kevin-Prince Boateng will avail himself for call up because he is now enjoying his footballing career", he stated.
"Ghana needs Kevin more than Kevin needs Ghana now so we should swallow our pride and call him if the coach will need him in his game plan", Coach J.E Sarpong emphasized.
"Kwasi Appiah is a humble coach and does not talk much in public but I believe he might call Kevin in the coming days"
"Since Gyan is not scoring these days I believe inviting Kevin to partner either Gyan or Emmanuel Boateng will be useful to Ghana"
"Quality players are troublesome but they are manageable so the technical handlers of the national team should be able to manage him and they will get their results", he ended.
